Shardiya Navratri is just around the corner and the auspicious festival will kick off on October 15. During the following nine days, different forms of Goddess Durga will be worshipped and each of these forms of Maa Durga is associated with them. 

Needless to say, if you wear clothes considered Maa Durga’s favourite during these nine days, she will shower her special blessings upon her devotees. 

Here’s a list of all the colours one should wear during Navratri to receive the blessings of Maa Durga.

Navratri Day 1 Color - Orange
Orange colour is very special among Navratri colours as it symbolizes heat, fire, and energy. On the first day, Goddess Shailputri is worshipped by wearing orange-coloured clothes.

Navratri Day 2 Color - White
White colour is known for its calmness and it symbolizes peace. On the second day, Goddess Brahmacharini, who is a symbol of love and loyalty, will be worshipped on Monday. The goddess has a garland in her right hand and a vessel containing water in her left hand. You can use flowers like jasmine or white lotus to decorate your house on this day. 

Navratri Day 3 Color - Red
Red is considered to be the most powerful colour amongst all the 9 colours of Navratri and it is associated with the Goddess Kali. It symbolises power and fierceness and this is the day to worship Goddess Chandraghanta. 

On this day, you can use red colour in many ways, from decorating your house with red flowers to offering red fruits as prasad.

Navratri Day 4 Color - Blue
Known to be the most popular colour among the 9 colours and Royal Blue is used to please Goddess Kushmanda, also known as Ashtabhuja Devi because of her eight hands. 

Interestingly, it is believed that the world is created by her smile and wearing blue-coloured clothes and worshipping the Goddess brings health, wealth and power. 

Navratri Day 5 Color - Yellow
Yellow is considered to be the colour of education and knowledge, and it is one of the Navratri colours that is adopted during this festival. It is the colour of Goddess Skandamata, who is the mother of Lord Kartikeya. 

One should consume plenty of turmeric on this day. One should use turmeric for cooking and also apply it on the skin.

Navratri Day 6 Color - Green
The green colour is known to be the colour of nature and prosperity. You can seek blessings of spiritual knowledge, growth, fertility, peace and serenity. Green symbolises the divine blessing of tranquillity from the Goddess. It also marks the holy beginning of life.

Navratri Day 7 Color - Grey
On the day of Saptami, you can wear the vibrant Grey colour for your Navratri celebrations. Grey is also a unique colour in terms of creating a subtle-toned fashion statement.

Navratri Day 8 Color - Purple
Purple colour is known for the energy and vibrancy of red colour and the royalty and stability of blue colour. On this day devotees worship Navdurga where the goddess is seen decked in Pink and blesses the devotees with a supreme sense of opulence and richness.

Navratri Day 9 Color - Peacock Green
On the 9th and final day of Navratri is Ashtami and you can wear the sublime Peacock Green on the ninth day of Navratri celebrations.
